The Town of LaSalle has announced the development of a Parks, Recreation, and Culture Master Plan, a comprehensive strategy to shape the town’s recreational and cultural amenities for the next five years and beyond.

The plan aims to meet the evolving needs of all residents, with a vision extending to 2050, when LaSalle’s population is projected to reach 50,000.

The Master Plan will focus on various areas, including indoor recreation facilities such as arenas, pools, and gymnasiums; outdoor facilities like sports fields, playgrounds, and splash pads; parks and open spaces; cultural facilities; and program and service delivery.

“We want to know how you use parks, recreation, and cultural facilities, and how we can improve public spaces, services, and programs for current and future generations,” said Patti Funaro, Director of Culture and Recreation.

Community engagement will play a key role in shaping the plan, and opportunities for residents to share their input will begin soon.
